Potty training...

I am the worlds biggest procrastinator! Kelton has been ready to potty train for a few months now but I kept telling myself that I would wait until the holidays were over. Wow, if only I would have know how easy it was going to be! He got it the very first day! I am so proud of him! He just seems to be really growing up so fast lately! I get a little lump in my throat when I think about it! I am so releaved that he is out of diapers but at the same time he is my baby and its hard to think that this is it!

He has to strip down to nothing when he goes and this is what I found on the bathroom floor.

Monster Jam

Easton is obsessed with many things and one of them is the Speed Channel. He loves to play Monster Jam on the wii. He was kind of nervous when we first got to our seats, putting in his ear plugs. It didn't take him long before those ear plugs came out and he was cheering for his favorite monster truck. I think his Grandpa enjoyed it as much as he did! Thanks Dad for going with us!

Kelty...where's your hair?

Before...

Kelton's has the coolest hair! It's has just enough curl in it that it frizzes. I just love his curls but his hair got to be so much work so I cut it short. If you ask Kelton, "where is your hair?" he says with his shoulders shrugged, "gone."

After....

Without his curls he looks so much older. The first couple days after I had it cut I would just look at him cuz he didn't look like my Kelty. He sure looks alot more like his dad.

Snow Days...

**For a week I had snow pants, boots, gloves, and scarfs piled up by my front door. The kids would play in the snow first thing in the morning and when they got home from school they would change and be right back out there. Justin made them a snow fort and a ramp at the end of their tubing run with the backhoe. Shae, Madi, and Lexi made a family of snowmen. My favorite was the snowcones!!

Tubing

What a fun day! It was great to have Travis Lytle and his family spend Christmas at Rex & Marcella's. Justin popped the tube on the very first run! He thinks he is just an average size guy lol :)! Kelton loved going down the hill all by himself but hated his snow outfit!

*My Favorite Day of the Year*

I love Christmas Eve! As I have gotten older I realize how priceless family traditions are. Here are some of the things we do every year:

  • Tubing
  • Baking and cooking
  • Mexican dinner potluck, games, the Nativity, and Santa's helper that comes to Grandma's window when the kids sing Christmas songs
  • Getting new pjs from Grandma Campeau
  • All the grandkids opening Grandma Walker's gift to them
  • Feeding the Reindeers

This year Madison made everyone of her cousins a bag of reindeer dust. Every year Marcella makes homeade gifts for each of us and for the grandkids. This year she made each one of the kids their own blanket and for us she put together a bunch of family recipes and scrapbooked the cutest recipe albums ever!! Truely priceless! Thanks Marcella!
