My SWEET little Madison

On Sunday afternoon I woke up from a little nap to the smell of homemade cookies baking. When I got to the kitchen this is what I found. Madison just started wanting to help me out more in the kitchen and learn how to make a few things on her own.
Don't worry Madi...they tasted better than the look...oh, and the dough was GREAT!

A few things that I love about my Madison:

  • Her adorable dimple smile that melts my heart

  • They way she can makes me laugh. Madison is very witty and loves to tell jokes (some she makes up herself)

  • How she takes the time to really play with her little brothers and make them feel that they are important to her. She is drawn to little kids and is so good with them

  • Her sweet little "love notes" that lets me know how much she loves me

  • Madison is good at everything she tries. If Madison puts her mind to it, she can accomplish it!

  • She is not afraid to give you a big hug and tell you that she loves you

  • She is a daddy's girl

Easter Morning & Egg Hunt

My parents invited us down to their house for Easter breakfast and this is what my Mom had waiting for the kids. They most exciting part was that the kids could see a bunch off Easter eggs (that she had colored the night before) hidden all over her big front yard! My Mom loves holidays and she always made them special for us every year. I remember one year as a little girl, we were staying in a hotel room somewhere and we woke to find Easter baskets.

After the kids had found the Easter eggs they hid the eggs for the adults to find. We teamed up girls against guys. There is no one as competitive as Justin (even when he plays against girls) so I knew this was gonna get fun! The first hunt ended in a tie 28 to 28. So Shae hid the tie breaking egg. Justin was the first out the front door! He was throwing elbows trying to follow my Mom and I to make sure we didn't spot the egg first. After a few minutes of some serious hunting we found my Dad sitting on the front porch like this...

After Kelton had found his eggs he was not sharing!
It made me giggle when I found him carrying his basket around with his play cell phone.

Easter Eggs

Madi learned how to use electrical tape to make cool designs on her eggs from her friend Julia. The girls had alot of fun and they eggs turned out really cool.

I am pretty sure Easter is Easton's favorite holiday! When he was little he was obsessed with eggs! He loves to go to Laverl Crosby's house because he always lets Easton have some eggs. Laverl even gave Easton an old ostrich egg. He would collect and make cute little grass nests for them. One day Justin was home with the kids and he called in a panic to say, "I heard something in Easton's room so I went in there and an egg Easton had hid in there had busted." The rotten egg was everywhere! It took me a week to finally find all of it! Augh..I will never forget that smell!!

I only had to show Kelton once how to color his eggs and he was off. He would set them on the spoon and then drop them in the coloring. We could tell which eggs Kelton had colored. Lol! He was the first one done and was trying to steal his sisters eggs so he could color them too. A dozen eggs were not enough!

KELTON!!

I loose Kelton at least once a day. Sometimes I feel like Dave off of Alvin and the Chipmunks yelling "ALVIN!" Instead its, "KELTON!"

Mom: "KELTON?"
(the sound of the window sliding open)

Kelton: "Huh? You weaving?"

Poor Madison

Madi had been complaining that her tooth had been bothering her because it was loose and it just didn't want to come out. Ever since she started loosing teeth she has wanted to pull her own. I'm not quite sure what Justin did that ruined her but after that first one she never had him pull another one! She started tugging on this one right after dinner and by 10:30 she still hadn't got this tooth to come out. I begged her to let me take her to the dentist the next day and she kept telling me, "No Mom, I know how much the dentist costs, I will pull it myself!" She must of felt bad for how much her root canal cost the week before. Yep her first molar and she had to have a root canal already! She has always had terrible teeth! I am going to have to work at a dentist's office to pay for Madi's dentist bills!!

She finally got her tooth pulled and after looking at it I can't believe she did it!! Way to go Madi!

Spring Break

Usually I am the one that can't wait to leave town for spring break but this year Justin and I thought it would be fun to stay home and build a "play house" for the kids. We took a vote to see which kids liked that idea. All voted for the "play house" except for Shae. Everywhere we went that week someone would ask us, "what are you guys doing for spring break?" Shae would sadly reply, "building a play house." Even though Shae would have rather done anything else she really got into helping her Dad. She even learned how to use a saw and a nail gun! Way to make your Dad proud Shae! :)

A couple days in to the building the weather turned bad so we took off and went to the movies. But everyday after the kids all helped Justin out in different ways.

Once the outside was finished, me and the girls got to hang the tongue n grove on the inside. Justin would measure and cut the board and Easton would slide it through the window to us and each girl got a section to nail off. I am glad to report that there was no trips to the ER all week!!

Justin worked really hard to get this little house finished so the kids could sleep in it before school started. I do have to say it turned out pretty sweet! I would have died to have had a "play house" like this one!! You guys really do have a GREAT Dad!!

Happy Birthday Justin!!

I'm so grateful for Justin's parents! Marcella & Rex had us over for a yummy "Birthday Breakfast".

Easton started bugging me a couple days before his Dads birthday to take him to Western Drug. He thought his Dad need another pocket knife. It was so sweet how excited he was to get this knife home so that he could wrap it up. What a sweet heart!

I can't believe how time flies! We are both turning 34 (ouch!) this year and it just seems like yesterday we were 24! I love you more every year Babe! You don't look a day over 24 (wink, wink)!

Everyday Laughs

I'm not even sure what to say about these pictures... all I know is they just make me laugh!! Shae brought these pink glasses home from her student council trip she took this week to the Valley. She really does think they are the coolest glasses ever. I tried to loose them once because she actually wears them in public and whats worse she wears them in public with me! Sadly they were found and Madison thought this would be a funny picture. Madison is always doing something that makes me laugh and Kelton is always up for whatever Madison has him do.

I'm betting that Kelton is going to be a lil cowboy someday! I found him on my treadmill riding like it was a "horsey".

Easton plays from the time he gets up in the morning till he hits the pillow at night. This day I had kept asking him to bring me in his laundry. Easton didn't want to quit playing trucks. After asking him over and over he finally decided he could still play trucks and bring in his laundry all at the same time! Smart lil guy!

Since Kelton has been potty trained he thinks "undies" are pretty funny. Apparently so does Easton!

These are body pillows that they put on their heads and they called themselves "toad heads".

Madison is really creative. She painted Easton's face to look like he had been beat up! He thought he would get a good scare out of me!

Just looking at these pictures make me giggle! Each one of my kids have cute lil personalities.
I wished I had a picture for all of our funny little moments so I never forget how they made me laugh everyday!
